Sean Delgado, Principal

Mr. Delgado is proud to be principal at San Antonio High School and Community Day School. He previously served as an Assistant Principal at Nogales, Chino Hills, and Don Lugo High. He earned his BA at Berkeley, and M.Ed. at UCLA.  He is a doctoral candidate at USC.  He is thrilled to be in Claremont Unified, working with all the students and their families. He likes the Dodgers and Lakers, Marvel movies, cooking with a cast iron skillet, and spending time with his wife and two kids.  He accepts all challengers in Star Wars trivia.

Ana Avilez, Office Manager

Mrs. Avilez is San Antonio's Office Manager, and has previously been a secretary at Claremont High School.  She is indispensable to the success of San Antonio, as she makes sure the operations run smoothly. She enjoys entertaining family and friends, running, and can often be found spending time with her four daughters and husband.

Julianne Ceccarelli, Counselor

Mrs. Ceccarelli loves working with the diversity of students at San Antonio High School.  She has been in Claremont Unified for a long time  working adult school and independent studies.  She is a busy mother with three kids, and is still trying to make time to see a Marvel movie, like Captain America, Black Panther, or the Avengers.

Tyler Baugh, History Teacher

Mr. Baugh is our Social Studies teacher at San Antonio.  He is a high school graduate of Diamond Bar High, and received his history degree and teaching credentials at Cal State Fullerton. He is looking forward to building new programs, and impacting the kids and community through the power of a social studies education.  In his spare time, he likes to travel and play soccer.

Carla Campbell, Math Teacher

Mrs. Campbell is one of our math teachers at San Antonio, and loves the "family" feel that San Antonio provides to both staff and students alike. She studied microbiology and chemistry at Cal Poly Pomona, and received her teacher training at Chapman University

Ana Cervantes, Nutrition Services

Mrs. Cervantes is excited to work with the friendly staff and students at San Antonio High School, and loves to build relationships with the kids.  Before San Antonio, she worked in retail management at Hallmark, Kohl's and Michael's.  She has husband, a son, and four grandchildren, and for fun, she takes the grandchildren for walks, for fun at the park, and to the mountains.  She has also been married for thirty years!

Jessica Ly, Science Teacher

Ms. Ly is excited to be on the San Antonio High School team and as the as the science teacher. She attended UCSD for her bachelors, majoring in human biology and minoring in psychology. Shortly after, Ms. Ly completed her credential program at CSUF and plans to obtain her masters and doctorate degree in the future. Some of her hobbies include traveling, satisfying her sweet tooth, scrapbooking, and playing basketball. In her spare time, she can most likely be found at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland!

Tyrone Newman, Transition Specialist

Mr. Newman is a proud Lion, who loves every minute of every day at San Antonio.  Originally from Washington DC, he has spent time at nearly every school in the district, impacting lives of children.  He earned his BA in Social Work from the University of District Columbia.  In his spare time, he loves romantic walks on the beach with his wife, fine dining, and he soothes his soul with a bottle of Fiji water for good health.

Francisco Quintana, Physical Education Teacher

Coach Quintana, aka "Q", is our Physical Education and Health teacher.  He originally comes from Las Vegas, and has both played and coached baseball. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degree at the University of La Verne.  He is proud of the "family" feel of San Antonio, and looks forward to starting each and every new year.  He enjoys physical fitness in his spare time, as well as spending time with his family.

Melissa Salter, English Teacher

Miss Salter teaches English for San Antonio, and has been at San Antonio for nearly her entire career. She loves the "family" feel of San Antonio, and the opportunity to connect with students, that a small school helps to facilitate. She was educated at Loyola Marymount for her undergraduate education, and completed her graduate work at Cal State Fullerton--studying English at both schools. In her spare time, she enjoys comedy shows, swimming, football, and kickboxing.

Ana Velasquez, Mathematics Teacher

Mrs. Velasquez teaches math at San Antonio High School.  She is excited about getting to see her returning students, and to meeting a new group this year.  She studied economics at UC Santa Cruz, and received her teacher training at Azusa Pacific University.  In addition to teaching math, she has also served as the yearbook advisor.  She enjoys photography and video editing, and spending time with her children, especially at their sporting events.


 

Joe Nash, Criminal Justice (ROP) Teacher

Mr. Nash comes to San Antonio adding Criminal Justice and Careers in Law Enforcement to our offerings.  He takes a hands-on approach to the course, and enjoys being a Lion.


 

Derrick Williams, Website Design and Digital Video (ROP) Teacher

Mr. Williams comes to us after having served in our country in the Army, Navy and Air Force.  He has extensive experience with film-making and editing.
